Red Wolf Sanctuary

Coyotes (Canis latrans) are also known as prairies wolves. They are smaller than grey wolves. Coyotes are omnivores, they eat everything but they strongly prefer meat. They eat mostly small mammals, birds, and reptiles, but will eat whatever meat they can find (carrion) and will occasionally eat insects and fruit.
